1853 15c Vermilion, Verona postal forgery, an especially attractive example of this engraved postal forgery, which is exceptionally well executed and in some ways better than the issued stamp, wide balanced margins, appropriately cancelled with a lovely strike of “Verona/13 8” double circle c.d.s., choice very fine; signed E(milio) D(iena) and accompanied by a 1989 PF certificate (not listed in Scott).
