It is estimated that no more than 20-30 examples of £1 Brown Lilac on Blued Paper exist in original-gum condition. A Great Britain 1882 £1 Brown Lilac on Blued Paper stamp in fine-used condition can be worth around £7,500 on eBay. In March 2019, £1 Brown Lilac from the Dimitris Bertsimas Collection with “perfectly centered with wide and balanced margins, incredibly rich color on slightly blued paper” achieved $75,000 at Siegel auction.
