1892 “Cmi. 5” surcharge on 10c Ultramarine, a choice cancelled single of the key rarity of San Marino, exceptionally attractive with rich color in the true ultramarine color, in addition the paper is fresh and bright, portion of a light black c.d.s. postmark that does not obscure the surcharge; normal fine centering being centered a bit to the right as many of this issue are, an attractive and fine example of this important stamp; this is truly a rare stamp as only 150 stamps were originally issued and, of course, far fewer are available today; a choice rarity that is missing from most collections; signed A. D(iena) and accompanied by his 1972 certificate (Scott #25b; $7,500.00).
