Section 1 – The Guardians and Wards Act, 1890

1. Title, extent and commencement.-

(1)This Act may be called the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890.

(2) It extends to the whole of India 1[except the State of Jammu and Kashmir] 2[***]; 3[***].

(3) It shall come into force on the first day of July, 1890.
