Aloe vera gel is about the most hydrating plant you can use on your skin, and it is very healing. Just pat it on. When I first did this, my skin seemed to ask for more and more aloe vera gel for a few days, and then applying it just once a day was sufficient. (Before using this recipe make sure to test your skin for any sensitivity to aloe vera gel.) To make the aloe more lubricating, add about 1/4 the amount of pure vegetable glycerin.
