This writ petition is filed by the petitioner/father of the
detenue Karunya.N alleging that she is being illegally detained by
the 2nd respondent.
2. The detenue is produced before this Court. On our
interaction with her, she submitted that she is not being illegally
detained by the 2nd respondent. She had married the 2nd
respondent in a temple and a memorandum of registration of
marriage issued by the local authority has also been produced
before this Court. There is an averment in the original petition
that she has filed a complaint against the 2nd respondent under
Section 498A of the I.P.C. Though we enquired about the same,
according to her, the said complaint does not reflect the true
facts. She also submitted that her educational qualification
certificates are at her parental house.

3. Having regard to the factual situation that the detenue
had already married to the 2nd respondent and according to the
detenue, she is not being illegally detained, we do not think that
any direction, as sought for, can be granted.
This writ petition is dismissed.
