Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits
that, the mother-in-law was granted bail by the jurisdictional
Court.
Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the
attention of the Court to the materials in the Case Dairy. He
submits that, the police complaint was lodged within six
months of marriage. Taking advantage of the absence of the
husband of the victim, corrosive poison was poured into the
month of the victim. The medical documents corroborate such
fact. He also draws the attention of the Court to the statement

Procedure Code.
Statement of the victim recorded under Section 161 of the
Criminal Procedure Code implicates the petitioner before us.
Medical documents and materials in the Case Diary corroborate
corrosive poisoning.
Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement
of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory
bail to the petitioner.
This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
CRM(A) 942 of 2024 is disposed of.
