In India Surrogacy arrangement is possible and an understanding is arrived between the surrogate mother and the intended parents, where the surrogate mother carries a child which is genetically unrelated to her.

but it is not permissible for single parent. if you are not legally divorced and your wife has not consented for the same you cannot even go for adoption leave aside surrogacy.
