Split bengal gram 150gm
Bottle gourd 250gm
Curry leaves 1sprig
Chilli powder 10gm
Salt to taste
Soak gram overnight. Boil the gram with turmeric till cooked.
Extract tamarind juice. Slice onions and grind ginger and garlic.
Heat oil, add cumin and whole red chillies. Add ginger-garlic paste, onions and fry well.
Then add the gourd cut into big pieces. Add a little water and cook for a few minutes.
Finally, add tamarind juice, the cooked gram and salt and simmer for 10minutes. Serve hot.
