Rice flour 60gm
Whole wheat flour 45gm
Refined flour 30gm
Bengal gram flour 2 tsp
Butter milk 1/2cup
Green chillies 3
Curry leaves a few
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds 1/2tsp
Soda bicarbonate a pinch
Chop onion, chillies and curry leaves.
In a fry-pan, heat a tbsp of oil. Put in the mustard and as the seeds crackle, add chillies, curry leaves and fry till golden brown.
Mix all the flours together, add salt, buttermilk and soda and mix with enough water to form a thin batter of pouring consistency.
Add the fried ingredients and sitr well. Pour a teasponful of oil on the griddle. Pour a ladle of batter over and spread thinly.
When one side is brown, turn over and brown the other side.
Remove. Serve hot with peanut chutney.
